6 Month Project Management & Logistics Internship

ESPA or European Student Placement Agency is a recruitment agency whose goal is to find high quality internships for European students and recent graduates in the UK. We work closely with our host companies to ensure the positions provide the candidates with a great experience, both professional and personal.
REQUIREMENTS: ESPA vacancies are open to all EU passport holders able to travel to the UK for an educational work placement, without the need for visa documents. You have to still be a student or have graduated in the last 12 months. Any student who is unsure of their visa situation should check with their university before applying.
BENEFITS: All ESPA’s services are free for students and alumni. The benefits are:
1) Paid Accommodation.
2) Paid Utility Bills (electricity, gas, water and council tax) + Internet Access
3) Commuter travel to work (accommodation will be found within an acceptable commuting distance from the workplace, if that requires more than a sensible walk then a bus/train ticket will be provided).
This will be sourced and managed on your behalf by ESPA. These benefits have an approximate value of 700€-1000€ per month (depending on location).

The Host Company
Our client is a world leader in the field of automotive and industrial lubricants. The company works closely with leading industry OEMs (Original Equipment Manufacturers). There is a significant opportunity to join a step out innovation and venture team within this major corporation.
The selected interns will be part of an innovative team, which has been running successfully for over three years building up a number of emerging businesses as well as an investment portfolio covering automotive and industrial sectors. The focus of the team is on the long term (5-10 years) looking beyond the current products and with the aim of future proofing the core business versus long term trends and potential market disruptions.
Role
The host company is looking for someone to support the communication flow within the project and Managers. This is an area that is wide open for innovation with a global audience across many sectors and industries. Key thing is to have strong Communication skills and ideally have had Project Management experience before.
Duration
6 months
Location
London. The team will be located in the world's largest collaborative working space - the WeWork at Moorgate.
Languages
Fluent in written and spoken English (B2/C1/ C2).
Start date
As soon as possible.
Tasks
Offering support in terms of communication between team members and Managers or Supervisors of the project.
Helping the team to think through what kind of communication they need to have a successful project.
Expectation of proactive communication among team members as well, documenting what the team agrees to do: what status reporting will be done, what team meeting will be held, how decisions will get documented and who will participate in various reviews.
Make substantial connections that help with the project and its nature.
Reporting to the Managers, keep them aware of project progress and any issues that would impact the project meeting its goals.
Personal Skills
Business strategy and management.
Previous Project Management experience.
Previous experience in R&D or innovation projects.
International background (abroad studies or abroad working experience).
Understanding of cultural differences and how to deal with them.
Organisation skills, attention to detail and a responsive attitude.
Interest in the automotive and the industrial lubricants sectors.
